Keep posting!

Now that the first stage of Innophoria is up and running, stories for cards are coming in thick and fast.

Well done to our colleagues in the UK, Argentina and Chile for posting the first three cards…EVER!

1) We recently came up with an idea for an international campaign which was severely affected by the lack of commitment and follow-up by the heads of project. (Negative Card. Anon. Argentina).

2) A couple of months ago, we invested in a mobile phone fundraising project. So far, the response has been very positive and we finally seem to be entering a whole new stage. (Positive Card. Anon. Chile).

3) A few years ago, I desperately needed a new database to run my committed giving, major gift and legacy fundraising campaigns. I ended up with three, none of which linked to the other! (Negative Card. Anon. UK).

As you can see, our experiences with innovation in the social sector are vast and we have so much to learn from each other. So keep posting, all of your stories are so important to increasing awareness of innovation in the sector.

Lucy, alive and kicking!

So it appears that we weren’t that far off with our character designs for Innophoria!

It only took about five minutes before we noticed an uncanny Lucy double, Angharad McKensie from WaterAid UK, wandering around the International Fundraising Congress in the Netherlands, last week.

Angharad/Lucy was one of 100 participants in the Innophoria workshops, which attracted representatives from a variety of international NGOs, including UNICEF, UNHCR, Amnesty International, British Red Cross, NSPCC, WSPA and many more.

How long will it be before we find a Joe?
